At Confections by Mara, every treat is crafted with love and creativity to make your event extra special. We believe in transparency and want to ensure you have all the information you need before placing your order. Below are answers to some common questions our customers have.

What information is needed when placing an order?

To ensure a smooth ordering process, please provide the following information:

For Chocolate Dipped Treats

  • Date and time of your event
  • Theme of the event
  • Quantity of each item or Package you would like to order

For Cookies Orders

  • Date and time of your event
  • Flavor/Type of cookie you would like
  • Quantity for each flavor/type

How do pickup or delivery times work?

Pick up and delivery times are very important and play a large role in our order procss.  In order to maintain a smooth process, it is very important that once an agreen upon pick up or delivery tims is established, that we are on time. Delivery is free within a 20-mile radius of Avondale, Arizona. Anything over 20 miles will be subject to a delivery fee.  We do not offer shipping at this time.

Am I going to pay sales tax?

As we are fully licensed in Arizona, we do have to pay taxes on every order we receive.  The sales tax is 8.4%.  Please keep in mind that when ordering, 8.4% tax will be added to your order total.

Is there an ordering deposit?

To be offically on my books, a non-refundable depsoit of 50% of your total order is required.  This deposit holds your date and allows us to purchase any materials we may need for your order.  Dates are based on a First Come first Served basis.  Unfortunately, dates will not be held without the deposit.

What information do customers absolutely need to know before they order from you?

We will get back to customers as quickly as possible with order confirmation information, but please allow at least one business day from the date of your submission. Delivery is free within a 20-mile radius. Anything over 20 miles will be subject to a delivery fee.

What steps does someone need to take to order custom treats or a party package from you?
To order custom treats or a party package, simply contact me here or through my social media links located at the bottom of this page. We'll discuss your vision and bring your sweet ideas to life.

Do you cater to allergies or dietary restrictions?
While we do our best to accommodate, all our treats are prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, dairy, gluten, and other allergens. Please inform us of any allergies or dietary restrictions when placing your order, and we can discuss possible options.

How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend placing your order as far in advance as possible, especially for custom orders or during peak seasons, to ensure availability. For smaller orders, a few days' notice might suffice, but for larger events, two to four weeks is ideal.
